Another issue with this is that the Amazon rainforest produces a large portion of the oxygen we need and without the rainforest we are indirectly harming ourselves.

David,
ReplyDeleteI thought that these five articles were really good for this assignment. Each of these articles were very recent so I enjoyed being able to read about the current events. As a vegetarian, the one about the recalled chicken was very interesting to read. Also, the article regarding the fires in the amazon forest was important to read. Your were absolutely right when you said this problem can affect everyone on Earth!
Hi David,
ReplyDeleteI liked the articles you chose. They provided a wide range of issues to look at. I also chose the Amazon wildfire article! I found it very interesting that you could see it from space. The magnitude of the wildfires is scary to think about. I also found the water bottle recall article interesting because choking may not be an issue you would think of.
Hello David,
ReplyDeleteThe articles you chose were very interesting to read. The last one about Tyson chicken was shocking to read. As a person that liked to eat meat, finding something that is not chicken in my meal would be very disturbing. Reading the article about the amazon being burnt down is very devastating because so many animals are homeless now or have died and we have less oxygen resources.
Thank you David, I enjoyed hearing about the articles you read. One article stood out to me in particular; that was the one about the Amazon rainforest fires. Hearing about the rainforest as a kid, I always viewed it as a majestic place full of life. Now hearing they are burning rapidly seems unreal to me. I hope we can find a better way to stop this disaster from continuing.
ReplyDeleteDavid,
ReplyDeleteYou chose a great deal of articles and I enjoyed reading your take on every single one of them. I enjoyed viewing your perspective and your ability to pick apart the issues and opportunities in each of the articles and expand on these ideas. The rain forest fires are dreadful and from your article that was chosen I was able to learn more from it.
David,
ReplyDeleteGood post. You had an interesting variety of articles with no recurring theme, so it was very easy to read. The Tyson Chicken article scares me because I grew up eating that. I used to love coming home to a hot tray of baked chicken nuggs. It's a shame that they aren't staying up to regulation. This could be a huge problem for the company and an even bigger problem to customers who may get very sick.
